ACT on the Road

The Answer for Cancer Tour was a grueling but amazing adventure with a purpose.

Why wait for some person in a white coat to find a ‘cure’ for cancer when they’ve made virtually no inroads since Nixon declared the ‘war on cancer’ in 1971. Rather, let’s educate people on PREVENTION!

To do this, we spent a year planning the tour and then rode our motor bikes 22,000 miles to and through each contiguous US state and every Canadian province to spread this message of hope. We hosted events, visited hospitals, spoke on national TV, and shared on local radio stations as we traveled. We also simply touched individuals and handed out our “Top 12 Prevention Strategies” cards as we stopped for gas, ate lunches, completed bike repairs, etc.

It was a grass roots movement that grew as we went, enabling us to raise a half a million dollars for organizations congruent with this message. Our main beneficiaries were the Breast Cancer Fund in the US and Prevent Cancer Now in Canada. They were both phenomenal organizations to work with.
